To the south of the Stalin Park lies the Central Avenue where you will find buildings of European styles. Here you can roam the streets and discover its various galleries, shops and restaurants. At the end of the avenue, you will find the St. Sophia Cathedral Square. In the afternoon, you will move on to visit the biggest island lying on the Songhua River – the Sun Island. In winter, heavy snow covers the entire island, so local people came up with an idea of making gigantic snow sculptures. They are not only massive in scale, but also imaginative and of supreme craftsmanship. There, you will find local artists climbing on snow and carving out the most splendid fairy tale in winter.
In the evening comes the highlight of this tour – the Harbin Ice and Snow World. When evening falls, castles, bridges and pavilions all made of ice are illuminated from their inside by colorful lights. You will be invited by horse wagons and visit the magical world of ice.
